President
The duties of the President of the Board shall be as follows:
A. Preside over all meetings and conduct meetings in accordance with Arizona law and policies of the District.
B. Consult with the Superintendent and, on behalf of the Governing Board as a whole, approve items to be placed on the agenda for each meeting.
C. Encourage and maintain orderly and democratic participation.
D. Keep all discussions factual and on the subject at hand.
E. Allow for full and complete exploration of each item of business.
F. Act as Vice President in the absence of the Vice President.
Vice President
The duties of the Vice President of the Governing Board shall be as follows:
A. Act as President in the absence of the President.
B. Record minutes in Executive Session.
C. Review the invoices and voucher summary reports of school monies.
D. Provide the authorizing signature for payroll/accounts payable.
E. Provide authorizing signature for all employee contracts.
In the absence of the President and the Vice President of the Board, the Board members shall select a temporary president, which selection shall be recorded in the minutes.
