BOARD  OFFICERS

President

The duties of the President of the Board shall be as follows:

A.  Preside over all meetings and conduct meetings in accordance with Arizona law and policies of the District.

B.  Consult with the Superintendent on the agenda for each meeting.

C.  Consult with Board members on the proposed agenda.

D.  Encourage and maintain orderly and democratic participation.

E.  Keep all discussions factual and on the subject at hand.

F.  Allow for full and complete exploration of each item of business.

In the absence of the President of the Board, the Vice President shall assume that position temporarily and perform the functions of the President.  In the absence of the President and Vice President, Board members shall select a temporary president, which selection shall be recorded in the minutes.

Vice  President

The Vice President of the Governing Board shall perform duties as are prescribed by the Board.
