E. We believe learning is more effective when the home, school, and other community members work together. A data base of community resources will be created and maintained for teacher use with students. Parents have a variety of ways to be involved with their child's education. Parents will receive regular reports on their child's progress, be asked for their suggestions, and be provided suggestions of how they can improve their child's performance.
F. We believe education fosters the development of individual abilities and talents. Flexibility of instructional delivery encourages the maximization of the potential of each child as an individual.
G. We believe the curriculum and teaching methods should encourage students to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of situations. Skills taught, methods used, and student results will be analyzed and evaluated to provide continuous improvement. A computerized data base network will allow this analysis and evaluation.
H. We believe students learn most effectively when they are actively engaged in meaningful experiences in a stimulating environment. Thematic units will provide the opportunity for students to master and apply a variety of skills in a meaningful and stimulating context.
I. We believe learning to work cooperatively, while maintaining a sense of self, is important to the child's development. Socialization into the school will be accomplished through practice and feedback on expected behavioral outcomes.
J. We believe the development of problem-solving and higher-level thinking skills help prepare the child for a lifetime of learning. Every student will be empowered to pursue intellectual investigations. Every child's ability to apply problem-solving and higher-level thinking skills will be demonstrated through a variety of activities and products.
K. We believe that effective communication is a key to a child's success throughout life. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are essential to all aspects of education.

N. We believe students should learn the skills and attitudes necessary to be good citizens of our communities, states, and nation.
