BOARD  OFFICERS

President

The duties of the President of the Board shall be as follows:

A.  Preside over all meetings and conduct meetings in accordance with Arizona law and policies of the District.

B.  Consult with the Superintendent on the agenda for each meeting.

C.  Encourage and maintain orderly and democratic participation.

D.  Keep all discussions factual and on the subject at hand.

E.  Allow for full and complete exploration of each item of business.

F.  Sign appropriate documents to allow District business to continue, as approved by the Board as a whole.

In the absence of the President of the Board, the Vice President shall assume the position temporarily and perform all the functions of the President.  

In the absence of the President or Vice President, the remaining three (3) members of the Board shall elect a temporary President for the meeting only.  The minutes of the meeting shall reflect the election of the temporary President.

Vice-President

The duties of the Vice-President of the Board shall be as follows:

A.  The Vice-President of the Governing Board shall perform such duties as assigned by the Governing Board.

B.  In the absence of the President of the Board, the Vice-President shall preside over the meeting.
