EDUCATIONAL  PHILOSOPHY /
SCHOOL  DISTRICT  MISSION

The District affirms its responsibility in offering an opportunity for each student to become a responsible citizen, to respect our country, and to obey laws.

We believe that the primary goals are the acquisition of knowledge and the achievement of academic excellence by providing an environment conducive to learning.

We believe that a secondary goal is to provide opportunities for students to develop mentally, physically, and socially by participating in appropriate extracurricular activities.

We believe that each student should develop an understanding of and respect for the integrity, opinions, and ambitions of others.

We will strive to establish a curriculum that enables each student to develop goals and capacities to help achieve a stable identity of self-worth and self-identity.

We believe that every student can benefit from education regardless of handicaps and hardships, and we will work toward easing such detriments through the use of special programs.

We believe that the rapid evolution of computer technology and the availability of microcomputers afford the use of computer technology for improved basic-skills education, for student preparation, for their technological and complex future, and for development of skills and attitudes needed for success in a highly technical society.
