SUPPORT STAFF WORKLOAD

Overtime Compensation)
Nonexempt employees who work more than forty (40) hours per week shall be awarded "overtime pay" at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay. In cases of emergency, when the employee will not be paid at time and one-half compensation, the Superintendent will make the decision compensate the employee with "compensatory time" at the rate of time and one-half hours for each hour of overtime which the employee may take off at a future date. The hours must be approved by the immediate supervisor before an employee works overtime or, in the case of an emergency, immediately upon completion of the work or as soon thereafter as possible.
